There are plenty of websites out there for teens who are interested in writing short stories, poems, and other forms of fiction. And, don’t get me wrong, I love me some fiction writing (and I’ve been published before!); however, what happens to the teens who want to get into freelance writing…?
Teens who wanted to get into blogging, writing for magazines, or ghostwriting were out of luck!
That’s why LittleZotz Teens was created.
My name is Lauren Tharp. I’m a freelance writer, editor, and ghostwriter for hire. And I started my freelancing career as a teenager.
I decided I wanted to help other young adults follow in my footsteps — by providing them with the information I wished I had when I was starting out.
On this site, you’ll find things like:
- How to get started as a (freelance) blogger.
- The difference between freelancers and hobbyists.
- Basic writing ethics.
- How to conduct research and interviews.
- How to write pitches, queries, and letters of introduction to editors.
- How to get over writer’s block.
And much, much more!
LittleZotz Teens is meant to be a jumping off point. A start to the knowledge you’ll ultimately gain throughout your freelance writing career.
Read the information here, absorb it, and then get out there and get published! I’ll be rooting for you all the way.
